Why is it important to invest in your staff?
We believe our best avenue in providing the highest quality service comes from attracting the best and brightest to work with us at InJOY and then do everything in our power to invest in them. It has been scientifically tested that much joy in life is gained through the experiences people gain in taking risks and overcoming obstacles. When we, personally, enable our staff to “InJOY life” in this way, we can anticipate and facilitate the same for our members and community.
We want to provoke this type of process to take place because when our staff steps outside of their comfort zone, they experience what we request our members to go through every day. Investing in our members in this way becomes more real when we, as a staff, can relate to our own version of this process. If we invest in our employees, they will invest in our members. We warrant our staff to take risks, grow, and become better because we want this for our members. We believe that modeling this type of care and concern for our staff will inspire them to do the same with our members. It is a spilling over effect that takes place.
Remember you have something great to offer.
“Many people die with the music still in them.” This famous quote from Oliver Wendell Holmes illustrates the desire we inherently have about each person (staff or member) that are part of our InJOY community. Like music, we believe that each person has something powerful inside them to share – big and small. We believe that InJOY can be the environment where we foster and unleash the music to come out (whatever that may mean for you). Your season, no matter how long or short, is a time for you to unlock the potential within and become more of yourself than you were when you first walked through our doors. We can help our staff in this process.
We want every person to discover more about themselves than they ever knew. This can happen by simply learning to just be…and be among people that accept you for who you are. We also want our staff to experience InJOY as a safe environment of honesty, love, and acceptance to be everything that they were destined to be. The members do not know how to be anyone but themselves. If we are open to learning this lesson, they will teach us. We want to partner with our staff on this journey at InJOY – to create and discover who they really are.
Just accept your greatness!
